Dehydration occurs especially in hot and humid weather but can also occur in cooler weather. Dehydration may also contribute to deteriorating mental and physical performance. In extreme circumstances one’s physical health may be at risk. What can happen is heat exhaustion and heat stroke. There are multiple factors that can lead to dehydration.

The exercise of cross country running typically causes higher sweat rates than swimming. The athlete’s gender is another consideration. Women typically sweat less than men. The environment surrounding temperature, humidity, air movement and your clothing are another factor.

The genetics of the exerciser also come into play. There are individual differences in their sweat rate ability. There is the individual ability to adapt to the environment conditions. Your body size is a consideration when exercising. The exerciser must avoid inadequate fluid intake before, during and after exercise.

When there is not enough water in your body, exercisers may begin exhibiting signs of the dehydration. What dehydration signs start to develop? Dehydration signs are dry or sticky mouth, thirst, headache, excessive fatigue. Urine that is dark in color and your body produces less urine. Developing dizziness and finally muscle cramps and fatigue are evident.

Do not forget it is important to note that thirst is one indicator of dehydration and not your early warning sign. Yes by the time you feel thirsty, you are likely already dehydrated.

In extreme cases you may need to see a doctor immediately: – When you continue to feel weak or dizzy even after a couple of hours after stopping exercise. – When you have little urine output. – When you stop sweating but your body temperature is still high. – When you can’t keep fluids down because of vomiting. – When you become confused or lose consciousness.

One of the simplest ways to track fluid loss is to weigh yourself before and immediately after exercise without clothes on. The goal is to keep your weight loss to less than two percent of body weight. For example, a 100 pound person should not lose more than two pounds during the bout of exercise. A 150 pound person should not lose more than three pounds and a 200 pound person should not lose more than four pounds etc.

It is not possible to make specific fluid recommendations due to individual and environmental differences. However, here are some guidelines as a starting point: – Drink 15 to 20 fl oz, two to four hours before exercise – Drink eight to 10 fl oz, every 20 to 30 minutes during exercise – Drink 20 to 24 fl oz for everyone pound body weight loss after exercise

Sports drinks with six to eight percent carbs are good to maintain your energy stores and provide the needed fluid during exercise, especially if it lasts more than one hour

Many think that drinking a large amount of water immediately before exercising is the right thing to do. However large intake of water does not help to equalize the amount of body water likely to be lost in sweating. Also a lot of water before exercising may not help because it can actually make you urinate during your exercising session.

Caffeine is a diuretic (which means it makes you urinate more), but the latest research is not real clear if it actually makes a significant difference in your hydration before or during exercise. It is probably a good idea to avoid too much caffeine before exercising.

Initially introduced in the 1970s, plastic bags now account for 4 out of every 5 bags handed out at the grocery store.

Canada:  10 billion shopping bags circulates yearly.  On April 2, 2007 the tiny town of Leaf Rapids in northwestern Manitoba is set to become the first Canadian community to ban plastic bags.

France:  In 2003, 17 billion plastic bags were distributed to consumers.

United States:  U.S. goes through 100 billion plastic shopping bags annually, according to The Wall Street Journal.  (Estimated cost to retailers is $4 billion)  

180 million:  Roughly the number of plastic shopping bags distributed in San Francisco each year.

March 2007, San Francisco has become the first city in North America to ban the use of traditional plastic grocery bags, a step that municipal leaders hope will spread across the country.

United Kingdom:  Polythene bags handed out to shoppers every year: 1 million.  UK retailers have agreed to cut the environmental impact of the carrier bags they give out by 25% by the end of 2008. CAMBRIDGE is set to become a plastic bag-free zone, following a historic vote.

Australia:  6.9 billion plastic bags distributed during 2002.

Steps were taken in other regions in South Africa, Ireland and Taiwan by placing additional fees and taxes on the bags to discourage use.

 Debate for Orientalism as a philosophical or non-philosophical approach to study reality is misleading among scholars. A limited spirituality is ground-like soccer game competition where spirituality is limited to certain groups represent one of the two teams on the play ground, the winner will have certain skills on both individual and group cooperation while undermining the skills and qualities of the other team. 

In a sucker game, philosopher will never loose, theologians will. Because in soccer game, not the skill of feet is needed, but the mental power and physical skills work side by side to use the feet in cooperation  with other feet. In short, theologians in the soccer game, imagine spiritually granted victory without planning, or thinking about the other team skills and qualities, where God will interfere, somehow. Unlike theologians, philosophers take into consideration the other team, or the other point of view on equal measure to apply for both teams to perform reality as factual outcome.

Reality is is an outcome of facts. It is a result of an action or reaction of a person, or persons. The response is covered with emotions, without thinking, It occurs  among both sane and insane persons, groups, organizations, and states. Planned reality needs philosophers not theologians or politicians. On the same token, reaction share reality (as action) in the power of creating it. But response or reaction usually comes later than an action in terms of cause-effect. Where planning makes reaction realities as right or wrong relative to metaphysical, epistemological and ethical ideology of the decision maker. Politicians and theologians share these characteristics, but sharply different from philosophical approach.

Reality might satisfy some persons, but never satisfy all persons, dealing with reality is a perception, I will bring some real incidents of reality, where people differ in their perception also, according to certain influences. The psychological, the social, and the cultural, factors constitute the color of reaction to reality as an action. Realities fight each other, like ignorance and knowledge, like mental and physical, like modern and old times, like close and open minds and spaces. No matter how reasonable the action is, the reaction would be more planned than the action itself. The reaction is not less reasonable view, and Saddam was defeated. In this point reaction comes in two shapes, one planned which is more successful because it needs mental abilities of persons and groups and may be nations through leadership and representatives, including personal and technological skills, immediately or strategically. The non-planned reaction which can be described as emotional and physical no matter what possessions, skills or qualities of  a person (where the mental ability is in prison, and the only freed power is the physical) will  loose but with excuse.  Unfortunately most human reactions historically, are not planned but excused and justified. For example, Arabic language was considered an obstacle for the dominant colonial forces. Therefore, for people in Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Libya, Syria and Lebanon,  French Language was introduced.
